Choose your Hydrogen Production Power Systems solution
Depending on your power source, electrolytic cell type, and project scale, we offer the following customized solutions:
Grid-Based Hydrogen Production Plan
Grid-Based Hydrogen Production Power Supply
Public grid as the sole power source. Stable and reliable, suitable for large-scale hydrogen production.
Renewable Grid-Connected AC-Coupled Hydrogen Production
Grid supplies 10–20% backup power; wind and solar provide over 80% of green hydrogen energy.
Renewable Off-Grid AC-Coupled Hydrogen Production
100% renewable hydrogen for remote sites — EMS predicts solar output, battery smooths fluctuations, grid not required.
Renewable DC-Coupled Off-Grid Hydrogen Production
PV direct to electrolyzer via DC‑DC — eliminates AC conversion losses for the lowest hydrogen cost.

Perhaps you would like to know more?
What hydrogen production scenarios do your power systems cover?
A

Our systems support four main scenarios: grid-only, grid‑renewable hybrid, off‑grid AC‑coupled (wind/solar + battery), and off‑grid DC‑coupled (PV direct). All are based on IGBT technology with 100% liquid cooling.

Can the same power supply work for both PEM and alkaline electrolyzers?
A

Yes. All Hygen DHP units provide 0–700V adjustable DC output, compatible with both PEM and alkaline electrolyzers. No hardware change is needed when switching electrolyzer types.

How do I choose between AC‑coupled and DC‑coupled systems?
A

AC‑coupled (grid or off‑grid with battery) is more flexible for sites with both wind and solar. DC‑coupled (PV direct) offers the highest efficiency (≥99%) for solar‑only sites. Our engineers can recommend based on your energy mix.

What is the typical system efficiency range?
A

AC‑coupled systems (grid or off‑grid) achieve ≥98% efficiency. DC‑coupled systems reach ≥99% efficiency from PV to electrolyzer, thanks to the single‑stage DC/DC topology.

Can I start small and expand later?
A

Absolutely. All units are modular and designed for parallel expansion. You can begin with a single 1.5MW or 5.4MW unit and add more in parallel as hydrogen demand grows, without replacing existing equipment.
